Founder story
Hi Earth-lovers! We're Natalie and Rob, founders of Ardent Earth, an eco-friendly boutique business.
Both long-time vegan environmentalists, Rob and I are dedicated to doing our part to address the climate crisis. When embarking on our sustainable, vegan journey, we were overwhelmed by how time-consuming researching labels, chemicals, and the overall impact of common household products could be. Some items were vegan but not cruelty-free. Others claimed to be made with “natural” ingredients, but would trigger a reaction to Natalie’s multiple chemical sensitivity or atopic dermatitis. Synthetic fragrances and petrochemicals can be tricky to spot, so you can imagine how frustrating it was to find products that met both our needs and personal values. We found ourselves wishing we could shop somewhere worry-free, without the hassle and guesswork - So, we created one. Ardent Earth takes the time and stress out of being an eco-conscious consumer. We do all the research, so you don’t have to.

Low waste & sustainable
We're committed to eliminating single-use plastics by providing reusable alternatives for many of our everyday disposable items. While our priority is stocking plastic-free and plant-based products, some items contain minimal amounts of plastic. All plastic present in our product packaging is BPA and phthalate-free and can be reused or recycled.
Vegan & cruelty-free
You may think all vegan products are cruelty-free, and all cruelty-free products are vegan, but that's not always the case. At Ardent Earth, we will never compromise on our belief that all animals should be free from experimentation and exploitation. You can trust that each product we carry contains no animal by-products, and no animal testing.
Safe & Natural
We're so passionate about providing people with entirely healthy products that we never stock products containing parabens, phthalates, artificial musk, or synthetic fragrances. All of our scented products use 100% pure essential oils and list all ingredients. We care about your well-being and believe you have the right to be an informed consumer.
Ethical and environmental guidelines
All of our products are personally evaluated and thoroughly researched before they reach our shop. So you can shop with ease knowing that all of our products are:

Upcycle My Home
Do you hate fabric waste? Great, so do we! Our own personal brand, Ardent Earth Upcycled, utilizes deadstock fabrics and other repurposed materials that would otherwise go to landfill. All of these items are sourced and handcrafted by yours truly and are available exclusively at Ardent Earth.
Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that our business operates on the Ancestral Traditional Territories of the Ojibway, the Anishnabe, and the Mississaugas of the New Credit. The Upper Canada Treaties cover this territory. Ardent Earth respects Indigenous peoples and recognizes the role of treaty making in what we now know as Ontario. We see those that came before us and acknowledge the privilege we have received to be here today.
